See, I read...

More to will come, I assure you...

Books
·The Princess Bride - William Goldman
A classic.  An easy read, highly amusing story.  The movie is no where as good as the book.  I assure you.
·The Black Jewel Trilogy - Anne Bishop
A twisted, almost sadistical series.  A lot of magic and intrigue here.  The characters are drawn out quite well.  And amazing story.
·Animal Farm - George Orwell
A great book showing that there is no such thing as a successful revolution.  Not many people I know liked this book.  I thought it was great.
·Catcher In The Rye - J.D. Salinger
A crazy story, actually, about a troubled young boy looking out for his younger sister.  Also, a great book.  A little confusing, but, ah, what can I say?  "It killed me."
·Where Did I Come From?
For all of you who are still confused.  For a kid's book, it's pretty graphic with cartoon pictures!
·A Little Princess - Frances Hodgson Burnett
I loved this book when I was younger, and now, still a kid, just an older one, I still love it.  About a young girl who never gave up hope.  Never stopped dreaming or pretending.
·Little House On The Prairy (series) - Laura Ingalls Wilder
I don't know, something so simple... a young woman telling her life as she saw it all through the late 1800's.  I've always loved her stuff.
·Summer Sisters - Judy Blume
When I was little, I used to love Judy Blume's stuff.  She was great.  It was only recently that I realised she wrote books for adults as well.  Summer Sisters is one of them and I fell in love with it.  About 2 girls friendship, and how they brew up to be the women they are.  What inflenced them and all.  Well written.
·She's Come Undone - Wally Lamb
This book was really sad.  It was part of Oprah's book club, for all of you Oprah fans.  I really liked the book.  It was really interesting.  About a girl and all the trials she went through in her disfunctional life.  It was so weird.  You would hardly believe the author was male.  Actually, truth be told, the book was only good to a certain point.  As soon as she gets out of the mental institute it gets weird and super implausible.  But near the end it starts not sucking so much.
·Lord Of The Flies - William Golding
At first when you read this story you're probably like, "My goodness!  This is the most boring novel I've ever read in my life.  Ever."  Well, you're wrong.  So, so wrong.  The reason you didn't like it when you first read it is because you're stupid and didn't get it.  Read it again and stop being so ignorant.  This book was really good... I enjoyed it a lot.  And you should too.

Movies
Bowling For ColumbineThis is a great documentary. None of it is staged and it really makes you think. I'm not sure if it's out in America... Michael Moore 'hosts' it, and if you get the oppertunity to see it, don't refuse.
Pirates Of The Carribean - I don't know.  I really liked this movie.  It was terribly good.  The humour was just my style.  The only thing was, sometimes I got confused with the pirate lingo.  But I'm sure that'll come with time.  A few more years sailing the seven seas and I'll have it down pat.
Lilo And Stitch - I really liked this movie.  It was cute and sad all rolled into one.  The characters were super adorable and all.  I loved it.
Recess The Movie: School's Out - I've always been a Recess fan, and I when I saw this movie, it only made me more so.  When an evil ex-principal tries to get rid of the ultimate recess, SUMMER, it's up to TJ and the gang to stop him by any means possible!
Dirty Work - Come on, you know it's a funny movie.  Norm McDonald is in it for crying outloud.  It's a good movie.  Hilarious.

Music
Our Lady Peace - I love Our Lady Peace.  I know a lot of people do, and I suppose I'm not very unique in my taste of music, but I cannot help it.  There's not one song that I dislike from OLP, and I think they have an amazing sound and lyrics.
Sky - Old Sky, mind you.  None of this new Sky with their girl as a lead singer.  Not many people remember them.  They were way back in the day, and they only had one CD.  They sang songs such as, "Love Song" and "Some Kind of Wonderful".
WeezerIf you have read my newest journal entry (August 14th, 2003), you would know how I got into them.  Their lyrics don't much make sense, if you read them too much.  But their sound I love.  Real mellow and easy going.
Mad Caddies - I just got introduced to them recently.  They're a real fun band.  Lyrically, the content can be crude, but the sounds is good.  Their sound is real fun.  Some of it sounds like it belongs at a box social.
Blink-182 - I don't care what anyone says about them.  I like them.  Some of their songs have a lot of meaning.  They've got a nice tune.  Screw you.
Matchbox 20 -
Goo Goo Dolls - I'm writing these 3 together.  Their music is pretty similar, but everything they put out there I fall instantly in love with.  They are amazing and talented.
Third Eye Blind -
Michelle Branch - What can I say?  I love her voice, her songs.  It's great.
Pushing Up Daises - My friends' band!  They are great.  A very unique sound.  Seriously.  I love them so much.  And impressed and proud and amazed.
Jupiter Sunrise - My friend introduced them to me a few months back.  They are really good.  Different and interesting.  I think they're some indy band down in California.  I don't know very much about them, but that I like their stuff.
Billy Talent - Not too long ago, a song came out.  It was called "Try Honesty."  Ever sine then I've been in love with them.  Their music is just so... Ah!  They are great.  Take my word for it.
